I am newly licensed as an LCSW in Oregon. I have been licensed in Social Work in New York since 1976, and for independent clinical practice (LCSW) since 1981. I hold Clinical Diplomate status with the National Association of Social Workers and with the American Board of Examiners in Social Work. In my first eight years of practice I was enrolled in weekly clinical training seminars and private as well as agency supervision. Since then I have taken at least 20 hours of continuing education per year, including courses in psychoanalytic theory and practice, ego and self psychologies, brief treatment approaches including solution-oriented treatment, couple counseling and family therapy, crisis intervention, child and adolescent therapy and parent guidance, hypnosis, EMDR, AMST, DNMS, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. (These last 4 are described elsewhere on this site.) I have completed the Dissociative Disorders Psychotherapy Training Program of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. I have never been sanctioned or been involved in any malpractice claim. Past Practice Experience
